The Islamic Institute of Boston was founded in 2002 by Imam Talal Eid as a research institute to deal with community growing needs in areas of marriage, divorce, marital disputes, inheritance, and custody of children. In 2005 it was expanded to serve the Muslim community at large as outlined in “SERVICES”, including fostering a better understanding between Muslims and other communities. In 2013 it became a non-profit organization under the name of Islamic Institute of Boston Corporation with tax exempt number 46-3771808.
